Quality Control Laboratory

Inno-Plast has a temperature and humidity controlled quality control laboratory equipped with the latest cutting edge technology in metrology. The room is climatized to keep both a stable temperature and a constant level of humidity. This is done to minimize the measuring variation as a result of the coefficient of thermal expansion and the moisture content of a material.


Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

We have a fully automated Mitutoyo Crysta-Apex S CMM in our laboratory. This device is capable of measuring even the most complex parts at an extremely high accuracy. It is possible to measure parts both manually or automatically. This allows us to do quick manual measurements on the fly or create measuring programs to optimize the quality control for both production and final inspection.

Our CMM is linked with the software package “Measurlink” by Mitutoyo, enabling us to convert the data points of our measurements into a inspection rapport that shows the statistical stability and accuracy of our production process for crucial and important dimensions. This tool allows us to further guarantee the quality of our products.

Contracer (CV-2100)

A Contracer is a measuring instrument that allows the user to scan the contour of a part. Since the device operates mechanically in stead of optically,  it is possible to reach inside a part and scan the contour of even hidden segments that a conventional profile projector or measuring microscope wouldn’t be able to measure. After a scan has been taken of a contour or profile, the data is sent to a computer where it is possible to dissect the measurements and visualize both the scan and the dimensions.

Profile projector and measuring microscope

Measuring microscopes and profile projectors are optical measuring devices that somewhat have the same functionality. They are visual instruments that are robust and easy to use. These devices are often used for measuring outside profiles but can also be used to measure elements on the surface of a part with the help of surface lighting.
